| What is the LRC Process? |
The ultra LRC process is a unique method of fusion-bonding
a dry, solid lubricant to metal surfaces. This treatment prvents
metal-to-metal contact and provides exceptional resistance to
wear, galling, and seizure under extremes of hear, load and
atmosphere.
|
| Ultra LRC is permanently bonded to the substrate. |
The LRC process integrally bonds a solid lubricant to the
surface substrate without carrier or adhesive. Ultra LRC surfaces
have been subjected to abrasion and damage from impact, overload
and bending with no sign of ruptures, cracks or "flakeoff"
of the lubricant.
Since Ultra LRC is applied at room temperature, the process
has no degrading effect on heat-treated parts and does not
induce or remove stresses.
|
| A Unique Solution to Friction and Release Problems |
Ultra LRC:
- Enhances lubricity and release characteristics of the
substrate;
- Retains close tolerances and functional properties of
substrate;
- Becomes part of the molecular structure of the substrate;
- Will not remove or induce surface stresses;
- Does not require high-temperature curing;
- Is applied without resins, binders or carriers;
- Is inert and non-toxic.
Ultra LRC has been used successfully in these applications:
- Injection Molding Dies
- Blown Film and Slot Dies
- Chill Rolls
- Heat Transfer Rolls
- Dryer Cans
- Food Packaging Equipment
- Slitter Knives
- Mondrels
- Wear Plates
- Seamer Wheels
- Guide Rails
- Industrial Gears, Bearings and Shafts
- Cryogenic Pumps
- Satelite and Aircraft Parts
